We work in the following ways to serve people and to help people experience freedom from poverty's oppression.
Health care is a huge issue here in Mozambique. We have one of the highest death rates in the world and our friends and neighbours are suffering and even dying from preventable diseases all the time. This is particularly true in the more rural towns like Marromeu and those forgotten, isolated villages of the Zambezi delta.
We want to help improve the health in our area and we are doing this in various ways:
Mobile clinics to villages without health posts
Primary Health Care training school
Malaria Microscopy training and treatment
The educational opportunities in Mozambique are limited, but we see education as one of the keys to bringing transformation to the nation. We have our fingers in a few different educational pies and we would like to see education taught in a way that glorifies God that demonstrates the worth and value of each child as God sees them.
We do this through:
Literacy programs in villages without school
A Model Preschool
Model Primary School
Most people subsistence farm and try to grow enough food for their families to live on throughout the year. Unfortunately this does not always happen. We try to help in a couple of different ways:
‘Leasing’ prime rice growing land to those who don’t have any or whose land is not suitable for farming
Manual water pumps for irrigation increasing yield
We enjoy being able to respond to the circumstances and needs of our friends and neighbors. It's a practical way that we can show people they are valued and that God loves them.
We do this in different ways
Visiting the Sick
Knowledge of the Bible is scarce in this part of the world and we want to help end bible poverty here. We do this through:
Weekend Bible Courses
Seminars and Conferences
